Production Update 11/27/17
To Do:
-Text Kemp with date to follow up
-Email Christian Breen to follow up
-Call Don Webb to follow up
-Email Elsie to follow up
-Jocabed promo design
-Grocery store b-roll; need permit
-Interview James Doss (Dec 1)
Unfortunately, production has stalled a bit in the last week before break due to scheduling conflicts and people needing to cancel or reschedule. The good thing is that we've been able to maintain positive relationships and communication with all of our subjects and contacts so that we can keep things moving. Above is a to do list of things outstanding.
Elsie Herring's interview will need to be moved to next semester. This is both fortunate and unfortunate—she had to reschedule because it looks like the community of Duplin County may have won a lawsuit against the industry. Thus, Elsie cannot give any public comments until after December 1st, and her schedule is very packed.
We set up our interview with James Doss, the chef at Rx restaurant here in Wilmington, and that will occur on December 1st.
Kemp Burdette and I are also working on scheduling and reserving a plane to get some aerial CAFO footage.
Even so, some things are still up in there and need to be scheduled. I am not too worried about this, though, because all of the conflicts have been out of our control, and the team and I have been able to maintain momentum and positive attitudes throughout any hiccups. Overall I'm happy with what we were able to accomplish this semester and where we're at with our timeline. I hope the fact that we've had to go out of bounds in regards to the class parameters/timeline isn't too much of a problem.
